Lake Bled, Slovenia

Lake Bled, Slovenia

Lake Bled is like the prettiest lake ever. Pictures don’t even work. You’d need, like, a billion crayons just to color it right. Aquamarine? Blue? Blue‑green? Green‑blue? Cornflower? All of them. Basically every crayon that’s ever dreamed of being blue or green lives at Lake Bled. Even that gigantic huge box of crayons doesn't have enough blues and greens for Lake Bled.

And the people there? Super duper nice. There are helpers walking around with buttons that say “Ask me questions.” Like, what?! They just walk around being friendly and giving directions. And directions at a lake are easy. You can go left or right. You can’t walk across a lake unless you’re a duck.

Since I'm a pig, I had to ride on a boat to get to the island in the middle where...surprise!...there’s a church. There’s always a church. Inside you can pull a giant rope to ring a bell and make a wish.

The town of Bled is nice, but I really loved the farm where we stayed. There were animals and a nice farmer who took my boys on a tractor ride. And at breakfast there was lavender cake! I had never tasted a color before!

So yeah, Lake Bled is great. And blue. And green. And lavender ... mmm ... lavender.
