Landskron - Falconry Show

Landskron - Falconry Show

So this was a little scary (for a small pig like me). We went to a falconry show at Landskron. That means BIG BIRDS with BIG CLAWS flying around like they own the sky (because they do). They’re called “birds of prey”. Prey means snack. I’m snack-sized. Uh oh. I’m not much bigger than a mouse, so I hid inside a bag and peeked out.

Wow! The birds were cool. Some were huge. And they’re all super smart. Like pigs. (Pigs are geniuses, in case you didn’t know.) One bird was like “Nope, I quit” and just flew away. I think it just wanted to relax and stretch its wings. I can’t blame it. The view from way up there must have been magnificent.

Falconry is kinda old-fashioned. But people in Austria still do it. Fun fact, falconry has been on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage for Austria since 2010! I like that they are still remembering the things that happened a long time ago.

Anyway, I survived, learned a lot, and did not become a bird’s snack!
