Klagenfurt is a small city in the state of Carinthia in southern Austria. It’s kind of like ALL Austrian towns and cities. There is a main square. In the middle of the square is a big statue. There are bumpy cobblestone streets with stores. There is a church (or more). There is a Rathaus (a town hall ... NOT a house for rats, please don’t make that mistake!). There is a fire station. There is a coffee shop. And there is a fountain, because why not. Since Klagenfurt is a city, there are more of these things than in a little tiny town.

Since we couldn’t go to the nature center, one of the things that we did was check out Klagenfurt. We ended up at an art museum. You might be thinking – “Piggle in an art museum???” YES! And guess what. It was GREAT.

It wasn’t a huge museum, which was perfect because my boys and I can only look at art for so long before we are bored. The museum was just the right size.

There weren’t many people there, so nobody was standing in front of the art blocking my view. I could see everything. The art was really pretty. And I liked it so much that we went around twice to see things again!
